This is a basic first aid course. it is useful in any setting where first is necessary. if you are a biking coach or rider, this course is approved instruction by NICA for level 2 and level 3 coaches. It is for coaches and those interested in biking first aid.

Below is the step by step process to pass the Basic First Aid certification. Every student will learn and study best using different techniques, so we have provided a number of resourses for you to use. Remember, when you feel ready to take the examination, you will need a password. You get the password by registering for the course.

 

Study Guide

We suggest that you study by starting with the practice tests and study areas where you feel weak in your knowledge. You can also read the text, watch the short videos and listen to podcasts to help prepare you. Before you take the certification exam, you will need to register for the course. The cost is $20.00 But all of the material is free.

As you begin your study of Biking First Aid, you should download the textbook. This is the most up-to-date text on this subject. You can use it as a primary study tool, or as a reference text. It is updated frequently. You can use another service such as Notability to mark it up and make notes.

 

Step 2. Baseline Study

Follow the subject list given above as a guide. Study each subject by doing one (or more) of the following, depending on which way you learn best: This will give you the foundation needed to understand the material.

  • PRACTICE TESTS: Start with the practice tests. Study the subjects you know less about. There are questions and explanation. The certification exam questions are taken from the practice exam.

  • PODCASTS: Most students listen to the podcasts. They are called AWLS and are found wherever you listen to podcasts. Search for the podcast on the subject you want to study.
